The foundation stone of St Mark's church was laid in 1882. The church was eventually completed in several stages. Its memorials include a window recording parishioners who enlisted in World War 1. The columbarium wall was built after World War II. St Mark's stands as a tribute to the vision and faith of Granville's pioneers, and their vicissitudes over two world wars and the depressions of the 1890's and 1930's.

St Mark's functions today as a place of liturgical Anglican worship, an open, welcoming & inclusive fellowship of Christians seeking to love and serve God better. Our church has a long tradition of celebrating the Holy Communion every Sunday Morning. This service is conducted according to the 1995 APBA prayer book & is soundly Bible based. St Mark's also displays many beautiful examples of Stained-Glass windows.
